At Casa Mateo, we believe that the best vacations are those spent with loved ones, creating memories in a space that feels just like home—only better. That’s why we’ve designed our family-friendly retreat in Cabo Rojo with comfort, relaxation, and togetherness in mind.
Our private oasis features a refreshing swimming pool, a cozy gazebo with seating and BBQ, a fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of space to unwind. With two bedrooms in the main house and a charming detached wood cabin, we can comfortably host up to 10-12 guests—perfect for family trips, group getaways, or a relaxing escape with friends.
Located just minutes from Playa Combate, Playa Sucia, and the iconic Cabo Rojo Lighthouse, Casa Mateo offers the perfect balance of seclusion and access to the best of Puerto Rico’s southwest coast. Whether you're lounging by the pool, exploring local beaches, or enjoying a family meal under the gazebo, you’ll find yourself reconnecting with what matters most.

The Space
Our single-level home with a detached wood cabin is a unique property and is conveniently close to Boqueron Village (about a 15-minute drive), a hotspot in Cabo Rojo’s southwest. You’ll find everything you need nearby: groceries, pharmacies, shops, and bakeries. Beach lovers, rejoice! You’re just a short drive away from some fantastic beaches and attractions like Playa Combate (2-3 minutes), The Lighthouse of Cabo Rojo, and Playa Sucia (9 minutes).
Step inside the home when you’re ready to relax after a fun day! We’ve outfitted the sitting area with sofa seating, a Smart TV that can connect to your streaming accounts and air conditioning where you can unwind in comfort. And if you prefer being in the fresh air, your private backyard is an oasis of relaxation for everyone!
